Cocoa Daily Prompt: Blog This!

We 'scrap' our memories in so many ways and this Cocoa Daily Prompt encourages those of us with phone cameras to snap a pic and blog about it... isn't technology fun? It's also a way to encourage us to think about 'scrapping' in another way too - recording our memories on our blogs and then sharing with our friends :)..

I will remember this fun day and Lara looking so cute in her little dress - and the fact that we matched in PINK was awesome too :).. We were at Akershus Fortress here in Oslo visiting the Norwegian Resistance Museum. Very cool. Learning about history and telling Lara about the brave men and women who risked their lives for their country and freedom..

After the museum trip, it was so hot we all had to stop for lunch and the necessary ice-cream for Lara - it IS the summer, isn't it? and she IS on VACATION isn't she, before she starts 'big girl' school in August!!

Of course, she picks the most colorful ice cream, that, in some ways matches her outfit. Funny girl!

A fun trip and a fun memory.. :)

Cocoa Daisy July...

Cocoa Daisy's July kit is a real sweetheart. I loved creating with this kit - all the bright colors and fun elements.. yummy!

Very pretty and so easy to play with...! Check out the work of the Daisy Divas with this kit here. I can't wait to play some more with these yummies. The add-ons are spectacular too! Check out our guest designer Amy Tangerine and her take on the kit!

So happy I could share this with you in advance... watch out as the kits go on sale July 1!

Life in Transition

The delay in visas have brought about an 'extended holiday' here in Norway. It's the holiday we didn't plan and we're spending these days eating out, and going to the beach. Lovely mini luxuries which we probably wouldn't be doing in Aberdeen.. Maybe.

Waiting is never easy for someone with my patience. But it helps to have a child who's excited to do things and an obliging hubby. Very nice.

Everyday there's the laundry which I do religiously almost. Living out of a suitcase and getting ready to leave 'at once' once the visas come through puts a different perspective and 'urgency' to our lives. One we've probably never ever had before.

But it's all good. Or at least I have to believe it will be otherwise, I wouldn't be able to function as normal. Much as my life is.. 'normal' :).

Hoping for some good news with the visa tomorrow.. or Tuesday at the latest, I hope.

In the meantime, we will spend some extra days in Norway... this unplanned part of life seems like a gift. So we make full use of it and look on the bright side.

Have a lovely evening wherever you are!

Moving..

In the middle of my move and the movers coming and going. So I'm sorry I've not been blogging.

Right now, my main form of relaxation is reading my Passporter Disney Cruise vacation planner for our trip out to the Western Caribbean later this year. I'm enjoying it very much and I can't wait to have fun there... I love Disney! :)

It is really strange not being able to scrap. I know where I have my stash (in a suitcase ready to go) and yet I can't really scrap as I have no real place to do it any more and I really need to keep everything ready for our move :)..

So I'm reading, browsing the net and vacation planning. It seems very idle of me ... and I wonder if I should be 'doing something else' but I know I'm also perfectly happy just thinking of my vacation :).

Soon enough I'll be in Aberdeen unpacking and entertaining a child on 'vacation' from school!!! :)

I'm off again but I will be back soon.. :) Do stop by and say hi :)! I do appreciate that.

I have a date..!

.. with the movers.

It will arrive, whether I like it or not. And so I've decided to embrace these last days as a chance for me to calmly accept the realities of this big move across another ocean (okay not soooo big this time.. just the North Sea..).

It will be an awesome adventure.

But I can't scrap anymore for awhile. I'm taking my scrappy things with me. My photos, my kit for July and my 'basic' requirements.. and then I'm hoping for the best for Aberdeen.

My scrap desk is starting to look bare. I only have a couple more bits and pieces to put away. Everything else has gone in a basket, or box or some kind of 'safe place' to be put in a box to be shipped in a container.. you get the picture..

Although I think I will still be blogging in the interim moving period, I wanted to leave you with a pic of the beach that I frequent here where I live in Oslo -- but the view from the sea where we were on a boat ride this past weekend.

Memories of Oslo.

Fond Memories Al Fresco

I love eating out on a sunny day and even better if the location is superb. We found this bakery in Oslo and went there for breakfast a couple of times. We probably will go once more before we leave. Just super. I used loads of my October Afternoon paper for this *love* and had loads of fun making it. The little coffee cup is from American Crafts Craft Fair Chipboard.

So many things I love about this LO :).. Created it for our Cocoa Daily Prompts over at CD..

Enjoy your Tuesday! :)

xoxo.
